Avista – home away from home. The home I want to take home.
Most of my holiday experiences in life thus far have involved hostels, serviced apartments and, at best, middle of the range hotel stays. Budget friendly options were always top priority for me, leaving me with a little extra in the pocket to spend on food, great experiences, and of course, shopping. Thailand was the first time I actually splashed out and booked something a little more luxurious, and my word the Avista Hideaway Resort and Spa did not disappoint.
Nestled away at the very top of a hill just outside of Patong, Avista has sweeping panoramic views of the hills and bay, visible from every room, eatery, bar and library. Yes, there is even a library (with it’s very own bar nonetheless). Although it is just a short 5 minute drive into the heart of Patong’s busy tourist district, Avista feels as though it is miles away from all of the hustle and bustle. With three large infinity pools, a stunning day spa, yoga and even mini golf, it is easy to forget that there is so much to do outside of the confines of the resort!
