Dress for less and still impress
Is it a bird? Is it a plane? Is it a maxi? Is it a mini? Who can really be sure, but who really cares when you are getting the best of both worlds? Settle for ambiguity and embrace the lengthening effect of a slim maxi, and the sexy sliver of leg peeping through thigh high splits. With the consistent 34+ degree weather we have been blessed with, a sneaky, cheeky, temperature-regulating thigh split isn’t something to turn noses up at. It is barely there dressing without coming across as ’18 year old at their first festival’.
This skirt was an absolute steal at the Phuket night markets, coming in at just $7.00. As someone who, admittedly, is always in a bit of a pickle with money (cheers job insecurity, you are a top bloke), bargains like these make me jump for joy. In fact, a good portion of my clothing collection is either op-shopped, purchased from a random little boutique for under a pineapple, or picked up on sale after I have done some mean price comparisons. Shopping on a student budget has always been a way of life for me. In all honesty, I get a thrill from being complemented on an outfit that cost no more than $50 to put together because, let’s face it, who doesn’t love looking good and still having money in their purse?
