Finding the motivation to get out there and get moving!
As mentioned in my last fitness post, my philosophy when it comes to exercising is to exercise the way you want to, when you can. You are never going to enjoy exercising if you feel as though you are forcing yourself to engage in physical activity that you hate. Let’s be honest though, sometimes, no matter how much you love your exercise regime, you just lose the desire to get out and get active (especially now that it is winter!). If you are finding that you are making excuses to avoid getting physical, try attempting one or all of the following things to get you a little more motivated and back on track!
1. Make a killer playlist you can’t help but want to groove/move to (I cannot recommend Peking Duk more highly for this playlist).
2. Buy yourself some fun activewear that you can’t wait to get in to and road test (am I the only one that has to wear/use my new purchases straight away?).
3. Grab a friend and make it a social event. Sometimes we need that gentle motivation from a friend, or someone to complain with.
4. Revert to your childhood and find something totally outside of the box to do, like spending an hour at an indoor trampoline centre or tearing up the street on a skateboard.
