Little-Miss-Mon-Bon-Mink-Pink-Casual-Quay Muse-2As well as being synonymous with chocolate, bunnies and family time, the Easter Long Weekend is the DIY’ers favourite time of the year, the Bunnings’ employee’s least favourite time of the year, and every road rage sufferer’s worst nightmare.

This year, unlike a good portion of the population, I don’t have any road trips or travel planned for my 4 days off, neither do I have any pressing DIY plans or renovations to get stuck into. In fact, at this point in time, the next 4 days are to consist of nothing more than catching up on work and emails, seeing the girls for a beachside brunch (and mini shoot), and hanging out with my man and his daughter. It is a far cry from the Easters we used to spend as a family camping in Walpole or Prevelly, and it sure as hell isn’t the same as road tripping up to Geraldton to see the cousins, but this is how my long weekends seem to pan out these days.

Little-Miss-Mon-Bon-Mink-Pink-Casual-Quay Muse-3To be honest, I am kind of relieved to spend some time on the couch, vegging out and doing nothing. The last few weeks have been busy, busy, busy, so it is nice to get some down time when the rest of the world is on break too. In the coming months, I have a lot of travel planned (Bali, Sydney, Canberra and Kota Kinabalu), and my partner has a lot on his plate with work too (including travel of his own), so spending the time we have together while we can is of utmost importance to me.

So, when I say I have nothing planned, I totally have a plan for my Easter long weekend, and that is to make sure I spend some quality time for myself, time with my partner and time with my family and friends. Time that sometimes I can’t actually find the time for.

How are you choosing to spend your Easter long weekend?

That is what I figure… with so much travel outside of Easter, I don’t mind not doing much for it! Although, I am getting FOMO because I don’t have any easter eggs (yet… I will buy some tomorrow) and I want to be by the ocean all day

Oh you darling, thank you 🙂

I love knowing that my blog came up when you were looking for what to do over here, I do love our little city (although, we can’t compare to tiny little Canberra hahaha)

Enjoy your trip to the West, there are so many amazing things to do and see! Flick me a message if you are looking for more ideas on what to do! As for Canberra, it is going to be a very brief visit (literally about 2 days) to see my bro who moved over in Feb, so I am not too sure how much time I will have on my hands!
