It has been said time and time again, but to say it once more won’t hurt…
fashions fade, but your own sense of style is eternal

As a fashion blogger, it is hard for me to say that I feel an aversion towards trends, but the fact of the matter is, I do. I am not completely 100% against them, but there is only a degree to which I will conform. There is sometimes a bit of a conflict inside as I feel like I owe it to my lovely readers to be wearing all the latest trends, but my previously spoken feelings towards ‘what’s trending’ help me to remember that my conflict is purely self induced. There are all types of fashion bloggers in the world – those who are there to show you the latest and greatest, those who like to show you how to find the best of the pre-loved, and those who have a particular style or message that they want to be heard. The latter is the category I like to think that I belong to.
My style incorporates a little bit of old, a little bit of new, a little bit of what’s on trend and a whole lot of ‘whatever the heck is my style’. You know something is ‘you’ when it just feels right to be wearing it. I am a big believer in being the best version of you, and the only way you can possibly be the best version of you is (no surprises here) to not try and be somebody else, but to confidently be yourself – even if that means wearing that loud, hot pink faux fur coat you found at the op-shop 12 years ago. I choose to express myself in many different ways, perhaps through things I pre-ordered from an online store, or something I purchased as a teen and still keep to this day. This one shouldered, polka-dot jumpsuit was a purchase I made online while I was still in my teen years. My teen years were left behind 8 years ago now, and it managed to make it’s way through all of those years with me.
Your style never fades. Your style may grown, mature and evolve, but it will never die out.
