Not the edge of today

It is not often you get to dress in a colour with connotations of wealth and prosperity, and not feel ostentatious. There is a fine line between a ‘showstopper’ and gaudy, especially when it comes to embellishments, metallics and skin baring.
Kaliver, you nailed it.
There will be no ‘Madge at the Met’ moments (read: gaudy, trashy and ostentatious in the worst way) in this showstopper. It sits far over on the correct side of that fine line – a feat not all designers can achieve when working with traditionally flashy variables.
Again, Kaliver, you nailed it.
It was this very blouse that reignited my love of pretty tops. My wardrobe is brimming with interesting bottoms and dresses, but structural and textural blouses are something that I lack. In fact, I lack tops in general (unless we are talking plain tees, I have more plain tees than anything… about 5 of them). This deficit stemmed from my lack of simple bottoms to pair them back with. Believe it or not, up until last week, I only owned 2 pairs of jeans. High waisted pink pants, bright blue floral pants, patterned wide legged pants, lace skirts… you name it, I own it. Jeans? You would think I had never heard of these versatile wardrobe staples.
So, before I feed my desire to buy more pretty blouses, it is jeans shopping I go!
Where is there a big hole in your wardrobe? I am sure I can’t be the only one who forgets to buy certain categories of clothing!
